Chris Garcia-Halenar spent the first 25+ years of his professional career in executive management. At the young age of 55, and with the birth of his second son, he chose to trade in the boardroom for the playroom and embraced the new role of Stay-at-Home parent.
He is a native Midwesterner, hailing from the great Buckeye State. Chris lived in the northeast (Nantucket, Boston, and Nashua) for over 10 years before claiming Florida as home. He and his husband Alex live in Tampa, with their two sons, Xander and Max, and the family’s uber enthusiastic golden doodle.
Besides his love of family and being a Pandemic Home School Survivor, Chris is most proud of two things: 1) his quick and cheeky sense of humor, and 2) his conviction to shine a spotlight on underrepresented communities through the art of storytelling.
When Chris is not dealing Doritos or acting as private butler/chauffeur for his pre-teen and toddler, he can be found hiding in his office writing children’s books and adult humor.
