Cassie Hamilton was born in San Francisco, California but moved to a little town East of Sacramento not long after. Cassie loved dogs growing up and was often surrounded by many of them particularly rescue dogs. Among those she encountered many were “helpful” bulldogs. One of her favorite rescues was a deaf English Bulldog named Huge whom her family took in when he was just a puppy. Though Huge saw the world a bit differently than other dogs, his ways of making Cassie laugh and helping her feel better when she was sad left her with an everlasting love for the bulldog breed.

Cassie met the man of her dreams soon after graduating high school. They moved to San Diego as she finished her education at UCSD. Shortly after they were married.
Currently, Cassie lives in Virginia Beach, Virginia with Mr. Dreamy, sometimes known as Austin, but even better the father of their two very active little ones. Cassie and the crew are joyfully awaiting the arrival of baby number three. Cassie is a work-from-home mom and spends her days developing the Harvey Helps series along with two other children’s books series while taking care of and loving on her beautiful, spirited babies. Nestled right next to incredible farm land, Cassie is captivated by the beautiful scenery and adores every animal and bird she sees on her daily outings. Her dream is to live on a farm and run their business, tend to their children and care for their animals just like Karen and Greg from Harvey Helps! Cassie is very grateful to hand over the Harvey Helps series to the patient and always loving Joyce Sweeney!

One day Cassie hopes to bring home an English Bulldog of their own for her kids to fall in love with the same way Cassie did as a child. Until then she will continue creating fun adventures for Harvey.
