Stacey Corrigan is a second-grade teacher in Saginaw, MI and author of the picture book THE PENCIL EATER. She grew up in Elkton, MI and began writing for a local newspaper in high school. Stacey graduated from Michigan State University with a BA in Elementary Education and earned an MAT in Early Childhood Education from Saginaw Valley State University.

Stacey lives in Michigan with her husband, two sons, and an adorable beagle named Sadie. Stacey is a member of SCBWI and Julie Hedlund’s 12 X 12 Picture Book Challenge. She was a PB Party Finalist in 2018 and a PB Party Honorable Mention in 2021 and 2022. Stacey is represented by Jonathan Rosen of The Seymour Agency.
