Brian Katcher is the author of the Stonewall Award-winning YA romance ALMOST PERFECT, as well as PLAYING WITH MATCHES, winner of the North Carolina Young Adult Book award, and several other YA titles. He's worked as a fry cook, a market researcher, a life skills coach, and a car assembler. He taught English in Mexico, packaged medical supplies in Tel Aviv, and once smuggled food into Cuba. When he's not writing, he works as a school librarian and fights book censorship. The Florida Tea Party has described his books as 'Disgusting...almost obscene.' He lives in Missouri with his wife, Sandy.
