Guitar Hanna is an Egyptian American kidlit writer who shares her life with her Irish American husband. Together they are raising three daughters, and a furry dog, in Central Oregon. They have become a world-traveling family, having visited eighteen countries in the past twelve years. Guitar’s journey of motherhood and her professional career as a pediatrician have directly inspired her to write children’s picture books that broaden young readers’ understanding of our fascinating and diverse world. Her lyrical words blend her love of science with her passion for writing books for children. Guitar is dedicated to writing stories for early readers—to foster their growth and development, and perhaps shape the adults they will become.
