Heather Macht is the author of fifteen books for young readers, including THE MUTANT CRITTER SITTER, a six-book chapter book series featuring #girlpower, responsibility, gene-splicing, and science-filled fun (ABDO, Fall 2024), THE WOODLOT MONSTER MYSTERIES, a six-book chapter book series featuring #girlpower, teamwork, friendship, and uncommon monsters (ABDO, Spring 2023), YOU MAY JUST BE A DINOSAUR, a rhyming picture book with STEM facts included (Pelican, 2015), & more! She is an active children’s author who has been creating stories, particularly about monsters and odd creatures, since the third grade.

Macht earned her degree in fine arts from Florida State College at Jacksonville, currently holds a career as an I.T. Manager, and is a full-time mom - her favorite title of all. Macht is the owner of SeasonsOfKidLit.com, a blog she designed & created in October 2022 that has already had over 22K views and over 6K unique visitors. Macht lives with her family in sunny Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, and enjoys saving turtles from busy roads, hunting for sharks’ teeth, and watching scary movies in her spare time.
