Heather McCorkle is an author from a small town in Oregon with Irish roots that often emerge in her paranormal, steampunk, and historical novels. Becoming a published author has been a life-long goal of hers that she knew she wanted since she was twelve. At that age, she wrote her first book and has been writing ever since. The path to where she is now has been wrought with detours and construction areas, but she stayed the course and finally partnered with the agent of her dreams. When Heather's not writing, editing, or designing book covers, she can be found on the slopes, the hiking trails, or in a kayak. As a native Oregonian, she enjoys the outdoors nearly as much as the worlds she creates on the pages. No need to travel to the Great Northwest though, you can find her on her many social networking sites, or on Twitter the first Monday night of every month at 6:00 pm PT hosting the #WritersRoad chat of which she is a co-creator.
