Julie Augensen is a children’s author, writing adventurous fiction and branching into nonfiction picture books. Her stories range from humorous to folk tale. As a reluctant reader, she hit her reading stride in middle school when she discovered the Laura Ingles Wilder series. She lives in Tampa, FL, with her husband and a teenaged son. As a lover of pink, all things girly, dark chocolate, and a decaf caramel latte with almond milk, Julie is pursuing a writing career and she is a senior at USF earning a Studio Art degree. Julie is a member of the Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI).
