Lora Stead creates stories to bring joy to children and their people. Lora writes contemporary middle grade fiction and picture books, anticipating her forthcoming debut Where Daddy Is (Atheneum, Summer 2029). She was a finalist in the PBParty contest and has won multiple awards for her work through the Utah League of Writers. Lora holds a bachelor’s degree in Humanities—with an Italian minor—and a master’s degree in Second Language Teaching. Lora is also a certified 1st – 8th grade teacher and completed a creative writing program through Oxford University. She currently heads up the Southern Utah Chapter of SCBWI and is a member of Inked Voices. Some of Lora’s favorite days include Bikram yoga, the Rocky Mountains, and board games with loved ones. She lives near Zion National Park with her husband, three littles, and a snarky calico cat. Lora is agented by Joyce Sweeney.
