Mel Alexis is a first generation Romanian-American fantasy writer. She loves to write darkly magical stories ripened with emotionally complex characters. Writing and reading have always been her preferred forms of escapism, but outside of those, she can be found hours-deep into another playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 or catching up on the latest films and tv shows. Mel lives in Chicago with her husband, daughter and American Akita, all who provide abundant love and emotional support for her writing projects.
