Melissa Abrehamsen is a Peace of Mind Columnist and freelance journalist for the Triangle Sun Newspaper in Mount Dora, Florida, utilizing her background in self-worth coaching and ministry. She’s enthralled by the mind, soul, and spirit, and weaves all three through her Young Adult suspense as well as self-help articles.
Two of her unpublished YA works won Silver and Gold awards in the Florida Writers Association’s RPLA contest in 2019 and 2022.
When she leaves her writing cave after torturing her characters, she enjoys family time that includes two sons, four grandchildren, two unruly dachshunds, and a husband she has been happily married to for over thirty years. Nearly two decades ago, she reunited with her birth daughter, whom she gave up for adoption as a teenager—a Lifetime movie waiting to happen.
Through the power of the pen, Melissa hopes young readers will discover they aren’t alone in their plights.
