Mia Kirsi Stageberg

Mia Kirsi Stageberg has been a single mother, nonprofit fundraiser, researcher, art writer, oral historian and singer in a few bands. She’s been part of the San Francisco Bay Area writing community for three decades. Writing has appeared in Caveat Lector, Exposition Review, Literary Orphans, North Coast Literary Review and many other journals. Essays have been published by the University of Texas, Grimbold Books (UK) and Sloow Tapes (Belgium). Her novels are Candles and Landlords.

She loves living in Japantown, San Francisco and has a huge pine tree out her window, which she never tires of watching in the wind.
