Patrick Hicks is known as the preeminent music storyteller of the social media platform TikTok, with over 120,000 followers and millions of views and likes. He is the son of two journalists, so storytelling has always been in his blood. But his passion over the course of his life has been music. Beginning at 13 he started playing guitar and playing in bands. In his 20s he worked booking shows throughout Southern California and worked as a booking agent at the world famous Whisky a Go-Go on the Sunset Strip. He got a certificate in Music Business from the Musicians Institute in Hollywood. Then he decided that he needed to take a sharp left turn in life and went to law school. He graduated with honors from the University of Illinois College of Law in 2013. It was there that he developed the meticulous research skills that serve him so well as a rock historian and music storyteller today. He has been invited to cover music festivals and his videos have been covered by radio stations and music publications such as the New Musical Express (NME).
