Rachel Haynes has always loved words. She’s worked with language in many capacities—as a student of English literature, an English language teacher, a student of linguistics, a technical writer, and, of course, a reader of everything. She’s been dancing around creative writing for her whole life and finally had the guts to pursue writing for children.

When she’s not writing, Rachel can be found enjoying the canyons and national parks near her home in Salt Lake City, Utah with her husband and daughters. She might also be wandering through the natural history museum or bothering booksellers at her local bookstore.
