Richard Cypert is a former Paralympic Cyclist for the United States of America, national and regional champion in numerous cycling time trial events, a previous member of the Cerebral Palsy Athletic Association (CPAA), and a motivational speaker to all ages and groups. He is a participant and contributor to the Children’s Miracle Network, working alongside celebrities such as Marie Osmond and John Schneider. Richard was the recipient of a life-changing, ground-breaking medical procedure in his late teens that allowed him to pursue his dream of becoming Paralympian.

Richard is a certified Elementary School Counselor for Moss Elementary in Big Spring, Texas. He has over twenty years’ experience in education working as a Counselor and certified Special Education Teacher. He has worked with students from the ages of kindergarten all the way to high school.

Through difficulties, tears, and laughter Richard is considered by many as a local hero in his surrounding communities, while living by example and helping others in a positive way.
