S. J. deLaney (aka Seleste deLaney, Julie Particka) started life telling stories. Told that writing wasn’t a real job, she “got serious” about her future and got a degree in chemistry. After working in labs and as a high school teacher, she discovered mad scientist wasn’t a real job either, so she decided to play god and have a couple kids. Because of her children, she re-discovered her love of writing. She is now a full-time author of various subgenres of romance, urban fantasy, new adult, and young adult, and she couldn’t be happier. She lives in metro Detroit with her two children and their furry companions, and is constantly on the lookout for her next source of inspiration.
