Sarah Steinbacher (she/they) is a disabled nonbinary author and poet who loves writing stories that entertain, move, and empower children. A former national curriculum writer with an Ed.D. in early childhood education, they are passionate about advocating for children, disabled people, queer folx and inclusive children’s literature.
Sarah is an instructor at The Writing Barn and an active member of SCBWI and Storyteller Academy. They were named a 2023 PB Rising Stars Honorable Mention and a #KidLitZombieWeek winner. Their poems can be found at The Dirigible Balloon, PaperBound, Tyger Tyger, Paper Lanterns, and Little Thoughts Press.
Sarah lives with their husband, three children, three cats, and a tortoise in a house filled with books. They are thrilled to be represented by Joyce Sweeney.
