Channeling over a decade of experience of film and music into fiction, Leighton's debut novel, Of Light and Darkness, has landed on coveted bestsellers lists, reaching over forty-thousand readers and has lead to the production of a book trailer starring Michael Welch (The Twilight Saga) and Cassandra Scerbo (Sharknado). In 2016, she founded her speculative fiction imprint, The Parliament House, and in 2021, began the South Florida chapter for the Association of Publishers for Special Sales, hoping to build a community of like-minded storytellers close to home. She strives to write and develop works that appeal to readers who favor a darker fare. Her Of Light and Darkness series is heavily inspired by her own Slavic heritage and has grown into a dedicated readership on Tiktok.

Shayne is currently working on developing new dark fantasy works, including two film projects, a few secret novel projects, as well as co-starring in an ongoing web series created by and starring The Vampire Jack Townson on Tiktok with over 120,000 dedicated fans and viewers.
