Andrea Tripke is a German born children’s book writer/ illustrator holding a degree in fine arts, major illustration, from the Columbus College of Art and Design.

Her illustrated debut picture book A Girl named October (Chicago Review Press) received a starred review from Foreword Reviews. She has since authored and illustrated several picture books.

In fall 2026, Barefoot Books will release her first illustrated board book Our World: Germany.

In 2022, Andrea was featured artist in the SCBWI-Florida newsletter and won the SCBWI-Florida portfolio people’s choice award. In 2023, she was awarded 3rd place for Illustration in the Rising Kite awards as well as for Illustration in the SCBWI Florida Portfolio Showcase.

Andrea lives with her family in Melbourne, Florida.

When she’s not writing or illustrating children’s books, she sketches larger-than-life portraits of rock stars and teaches Pilates.
