Armed with a BFA in Illustration from Brigham Young University and an irrepressible drive to explore worlds both real and imagined, Sarah D. Newell infuses each story with her own unique brand of magic.

Her deepest passion lies in the natural world, from gnarly trees to overly chatty badgers, where she, her best friend (husband), their two lively children, and a pair of ever-so-slightly loony dogs happily lose themselves in a land of unwoven stories. Sarah can never resist the allure of a mysterious pathway, often overestimating her ability to find her way back.

With her head in the clouds and feet traipsing along the overgrown trails of the Rocky Mountains, Sarah’s pen opens doorways through which a whimsical journey awaits… where the real and the imagined collide.
