Sera Latterell is an artist from North Carolina who enjoys being inspired by the amazing stories and experiences around her. Although she received her degrees in biology and anthropology, she found her love of storytelling through her art. Sera is fascinated with folk tales, child psychology, family traditions, faith, nature and friendship. Because of her multiracial background, she is passionate for children to see themselves in the illustrations she creates. Sera is also an active member of SCBWI.

Sera is a military spouse and mom to four fantastic little people whose antics constantly inspire her art.

When she isn’t working, she enjoys meditating, reading, gardening, learning new things, listening to podcasts and looking through children’s books.
